Artist statement: I wanted to capture forward movement, the feeling of flying through space, of being unbound without restraints, but full of energy and purpose. The rabbit symbolizes energy, its speed predicated by its will to survive. The raven brings purpose, and an ability to improvise. It has evolved beyond instincts, carrying an olive branch, a message of compromise and community. They are suspended in a linear band of spectral light, where the past and the future are undistinguishable.
